Health Nuggets

A very wise woman once wrote that "Gratitude Promotes Health!"

"Nothing tends more to promote health of body and of soul than does a spirit of gratitude and praise".

"Gratitude deepens as we give it expression, and the joy it brings is life to soul and body"

So why not put away our anxiety, worry and frustrations, and put on a spirit of praise and thanksgiving!

Every day we can make a firm decision to resist melancholy, discontented thoughts and feelings, replacing them with thoughts of gratitude and thankfulness.

Put a smile on your face and believe in your smile!

Keep a smile in your heart, and let it bring forth laughter.

As Christians, seeking to follow the example of Jesus, we believe that it is important to do what we can to meet the needs of hurting people, not only in our churches but in and around our communities.

For this reason, Health and Temperance Ministries has chosen to focus its attention to

"These Challenges".

THE GOALS OF HEALTH AND TEMPERANCE

The goals of the Health and Temperance Ministry is to help men and women reach their full potential, mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Our health is in partnership with Christ.

He knows the plan He has for us to prosper us in good health.

We need to care for our body intelligently, because we are entrusted with the privilege of maintaining and improving our spiritual, mental, social and physical health.

Matthew 10:10

"I am come that ye might have life and have it more abundantly.
