Jan’s Granola

18 oz. old fashion oats

3   cups  whole plain almonds – coarsely chopped

1   cup    walnuts – coarsely chopped

1   cup    pecans pieces (or chop whole ones)

1   cup    flaxseed meal  (or wheat germ)

   Mix together in large bowl.

 

             In separate bowl add

1/2   cup canola oil

1/2 – 3/4  cup maple syrup (I use agave nectar)

1/4   cup brown sugar

1/2   tsp. sea salt

 

Mix together and pour half at a time over the

oat mixture, combine.

 

Pour half of mixture into 2 separate cookie sheets

and bake at 225-250 degrees stirring every 20 min.

for about an hour. *depends on oven.

Watch that you don’t over bake.

 

When almost cool, add half the craisins to each pan

then pour into large bowl and stir completely.

 

Cool completely and store in air tight containers or jars.
